Ingredients
- 2.50 slices Beef Steak (cubed)
- 4.00 whole Bacon (strips)
- 1.00 whole Onion (diced)
- 2.00 whole Carrot (sliced)
- 4.00 liters Garlic (minced)
- 2.00 cups Red Wine
- 2.00 cups Beef Broth
- 2.00 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 8.00 pinch Mushroom (halved)
- 3.00 whole Thyme (sprigs)
- 2.00 tablespoons Butter
Instructions
- Cut beef into large cubes and season with salt and pepper
- Brown beef in batches in a Dutch oven, set aside
- Cook bacon until crispy, then add onions, carrots, and garlic
- Return beef to pot with red wine, beef broth, tomato paste, and thyme
- Cover and braise in 325°F oven for 2.5 hours
- Sauté mushrooms separately and add in last 30 minutes
- Serve with crusty bread or mashed potatoes
