Ingredients

  • 1.50 slices Lamb Shoulder (cubed)
  • 2.00 whole Onion (diced)
  • 4.00 liters Garlic (minced)
  • 2.00 tablespoons Ginger (minced)
  • 3.00 tablespoons Curry Powder
  • 2.00 tablespoons Garam Masala
  • 1.00 teaspoons Turmeric
  • 1.00 teaspoons Cumin
  • 1.00 whole Canned Tomatoes (14oz can)
  • 0.50 cups Greek Yogurt
  • 0.25 cups Cilantro (chopped)
  • 2.00 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. Cut lamb shoulder into cubes
  2. Heat oil and brown lamb in batches, set aside
  3. Sauté onions until golden, add garlic and ginger
  4. Add curry powder, garam masala, turmeric, and cumin
  5. Return lamb to pot with tomatoes and yogurt
  6. Add water or broth, cover and simmer for 1.5 hours
  7. Garnish with cilantro and serve with rice or naan
