Ingredients
- 2.00 cups Chickpeas (dried, soaked)
- 1.00 whole Onion (quartered)
- 4.00 whole Garlic (cloves)
- 0.50 cups Parsley (chopped)
- 0.50 cups Cilantro (chopped)
- 2.00 teaspoons Cumin
- 1.00 teaspoons Coriander
- 3.00 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 1.00 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 0.50 cups Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Soak dried chickpeas overnight, then drain
- Blend chickpeas with onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, and coriander
- Add flour and baking powder, mix well
- Form mixture into small patties
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F
- Fry falafel until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes
- Drain on paper towels and serve in pita with tahini sauce
