Ingredients

  • 2.00 cups Chickpeas (dried, soaked)
  • 1.00 whole Onion (quartered)
  • 4.00 whole Garlic (cloves)
  • 0.50 cups Parsley (chopped)
  • 0.50 cups Cilantro (chopped)
  • 2.00 teaspoons Cumin
  • 1.00 teaspoons Coriander
  • 3.00 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1.00 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 0.50 cups Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. Soak dried chickpeas overnight, then drain
  2. Blend chickpeas with onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, and coriander
  3. Add flour and baking powder, mix well
  4. Form mixture into small patties
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F
  6. Fry falafel until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve in pita with tahini sauce
