Ingredients
- 1.00 whole Whole Chicken (cut into pieces)
- 4.00 whole Bacon (strips)
- 1.00 whole Onion (diced)
- 2.00 whole Carrot (sliced)
- 8.00 pinch Mushroom (sliced)
- 4.00 liters Garlic (minced)
- 2.00 cups Red Wine
- 1.00 cups Chicken Broth
- 3.00 whole Thyme (sprigs)
- 2.00 whole Bay Leaf
- 4.00 tablespoons Butter
Instructions
- Brown chicken pieces in butter, then set aside
- Cook bacon until crispy, then remove
- Sauté onions, carrots, and mushrooms in the same pot
- Add garlic, then pour in red wine and chicken broth
- Return chicken and bacon to pot with thyme and bay leaf
- Simmer covered for 1 hour until chicken is tender
- Thicken sauce if desired and serve
