Ingredients
- 2.00 whole Eggplant (sliced)
- 1.50 slices Ground Beef
- 1.00 whole Onion (diced)
- 4.00 liters Garlic (minced)
- 1.00 whole Tomato Sauce (15oz can)
- 1.00 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1.00 teaspoons Dried Oregano
- 4.00 tablespoons Butter
- 4.00 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 3.00 cups Milk
Instructions
- Slice eggplant, salt it, and let sit for 30 minutes, then pat dry
- Brush eggplant with oil and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes
- Brown ground beef with onions and garlic
- Add tomato sauce, cinnamon, and oregano to beef, simmer for 15 minutes
- Make béchamel sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, then milk
- Layer eggplant, meat sauce, and béchamel in a baking dish
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until golden
