Ingredients

  • 2.00 whole Eggplant (sliced)
  • 1.50 slices Ground Beef
  • 1.00 whole Onion (diced)
  • 4.00 liters Garlic (minced)
  • 1.00 whole Tomato Sauce (15oz can)
  • 1.00 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1.00 teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 4.00 tablespoons Butter
  • 4.00 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 3.00 cups Milk

Instructions

  1. Slice eggplant, salt it, and let sit for 30 minutes, then pat dry
  2. Brush eggplant with oil and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes
  3. Brown ground beef with onions and garlic
  4. Add tomato sauce, cinnamon, and oregano to beef, simmer for 15 minutes
  5. Make béchamel sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, then milk
  6. Layer eggplant, meat sauce, and béchamel in a baking dish
  7. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until golden
