Ingredients
- 2.00 whole Onion (halved)
- 2.00 pinch Ginger (sliced)
- 1.00 whole Cinnamon (stick)
- 1.00 slices Beef Steak
- 3.00 tablespoons Fish Sauce
- 12.00 pinch Rice Noodles
- 0.25 cups Basil (fresh)
- 1.00 whole Lemon
Instructions
- Char onions and ginger over an open flame or under broiler
- Add beef bones and water to a large pot, bring to boil
- Add charred onions, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and fish sauce
- Simmer for 2 hours, skimming foam occasionally
- Cook rice noodles according to package directions
- Slice beef steak paper-thin
- Place noodles in bowls, top with raw beef slices
- Ladle hot broth over beef to cook it
- Serve with basil, lime, and bean sprouts
